This session examines how risk assessment, treatment, and safety planning must be adapted when youth sexual harmful behaviors involve technology. It will identify key questions courts and therapists should ask to accurately assess risk, needs, and treatment, with particular attention to youth whose harmful behaviors are technology-based. Differences in treatment approaches and safety planning strategies will be explored, along with best practices for developing technology-related safety plans that balance restriction, development, and family capacity. Case studies will be used throughout to support the practical application of these concepts. Certificates will be issued by Ohio DYS post the training event.
