PROFESOR Virtual Training
PROFESOR Virtual Training
Tuesday, February 11, 2025 (10:00 AM - 3:30 PM) (EST)
Description
This 5-hour workshop introduces participants to the application of the PROFESOR (Protective + Risk Observations For Eliminating Sexual Offense Recidivism). The PROFESOR is an experimental checklist designed to identify and summarize protective and risk factors for adolescents and emerging adults (i.e., those aged 12 to 25) who have engaged in sexually abusive behavior. Whereas most risk assessment tools currently in use are employed in an attempt to predict the future, the PROFESOR is designed to assist with planning interventions that can help individuals to enhance their capacity for sexual and relationship health and, thus, eliminate sexual recidivism. Participants will have the opportunity to practice applying the PROFESOR coding guidelines using multiple case examples.
Upon completion, participants will be able to:
- Utilize the PROFESOR to assess adolescent and emerging adults who have engaged in sexually harmful behaviors
- Identify both protective and risk factors for adolescents and emerging adults who have engaged in sexually harmful behaviors
CE Hours Available: A total of 5 CE hours
Registration: closes February 10, 2025
